First, they came for the druid, bloodied their claw. Now, the fenechus is gone, we live without law. The tanist rules no longer, the bard sings no more. Seed cast to distant lands, my cairde must whore. Exile without eneclann, no fair fine to call my own. Seed spread to far lands, my cenél has flown. The keening of loving women has been replaced. The evil eye has utterly broken an ancient geas. Here, I place my steward stone and fosterage. Possessed by the riastrad, I learn to hate. Alone, perhaps, but never too late.
