Clan Cameron has a glorious history, and I have decided to glorify them further through verse. My own clan, the MacMillans, were once allied to the Camerons, and recently I discovered a new Substacker who hails from this clan. Here is his Substack, Athbheochan na nGael. This has inspired me in many ways, the first of which was through poetry.
Modern day Aryans can learn a lot from the Camerons - their loyalty to kin, their tenacity in battle, and their genteel nature in peacetime all proves that they possessed a truly noble spirit. Even their clan crest (pictured below) shows that they well-understood the meaning of the fasci and the importance of unity between brethren.
Sons of the Hounds, Come Hither And Get Flesh
~~~
O ye chiefs named Mac Dhòmhnaill Dubh,
sons of Domnhall Dubh Camshron,
sons of Donald the Black Cameron:
I salute ye and congrulate ye,
On all that ye have done,
And shall soon do.
It was Donald who united the Mael-anfhaidh,
The numerous children and valiant kindred,
Of He who was Dedicated to the Storm.
Hail to Clanna Cameron the War-Worn,
Ye have united before,
So unite again.
O ye MacSorlies, sons of Somerled the Red,
Chief with silver spoon and a targe for bed,
Sliochd Shomhairle Ruaidh, friend of Islay.
The Hebrides are open to ye always,
A retreat from bloodshed,
A blessing from Erainn.
Arise, all ye Children of Cameron! Your hearts are still beating strong, And Lochaber awaits those Who recall the bonny Girls of lilly and rose Those Cameron girls. Become the great chieftains of yore! Those great chieftain ye once were, Back when the Hebrides breathed And the clans bloody battled And gallantly sailed free Across the Irish Sea. Pass away into the night with honor! Follow Don, your noble ancestor, Guarded by two noble savages Ye will cross into dark passages Onto fields of blood and gore And ye shall know war.
Hail the Camerons! Hail victory! Thank you, and good-end! o///
Beautiful!
Hail victory!
